Mr. Cox serves as the President of Storm Peak Energy, LLC. He was previously a founding partner and VP of Engineering at Bold Energy, LP in Midland, Texas. During his association with Bold Energy, the company grew to be a leading Southeast New Mexico gas producer in less than 3 years. The partnership was sold to Oxy USA in May 2008. Prior to Bold, Mr. Cox was employed by Tom Brown, Inc and Mobil E&P US. During his 17 year tenure at Mobil, Mr. Cox progressed from Operations Engineer to Asset Manager for Mobil’s Permian Gas business. Mr. Cox has worked in the Gulf of Mexico, Permian Basin and the Rockies. He holds a BS in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. Cox is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists.

Mr. Coggin is the Chief Financial Officer of Storm Peak Energy, LLC. He has worked in the oil and gas industry since 1981. Mr. Coggin served as CFO for Southwest Royalties, Inc. from 1985 until it was sold to Clayton Williams Energy, Inc. in 2004. During this time, Southwest operated over 1700 leases and drilled and developed oil and gas properties for its own account as well as sponsoring 31 private and public partnerships that acquired and drilled for oil and gas. Southwest also founded Sierra Well Service, Inc. which eventually became Basic Energy Service, Inc. Mr. Coggin was involved with all aspects of the growth of Southwest and its subsidiaries including supervision of its financial and back-office functions and acquisitions & divestitures. Upon the sale of Southwest, Coggin served as the CFO of Saber Resources, LLC, which was founded by the former Southwest Royalties team. Saber was sold to Celero Energy in 2007. Mr. Coggin holds a BBA in Marketing and Accounting from Angelo State University.
